In the Midst of Tradegy

We had a hidden love
Spurred by passion and trust
But this endeavor has been abandoned
The reasons seem unjust

We promised each other the world
But we really just wanted comfort
We talked for hours about nothing
All we need was the support

I thought we had it all
In my young years, I had found what all human beings desire
But then you left me to suffocate

A Love Hidden

I wait solemnly
Enclosed in these four walls
Perhaps a love will beckon me
So that I may answer the call

It is as though I am locked up
Not able to be set free or live
But my day will come
That there will be a man who can receive
The love I have to give

Beauty and strength
Are what attract me at first glance
But if I may see passion and will
I must give them a chance

What spell a love will cast
But I am determined to believe

Friends

My troubles are not because of
Money or fame
But rather of anger and shame

Who among us cares for another
More than themselves
Who can talk about our problems with us
And not shove them in a book on a shelf

These people
Who make our lives worth living
These people who do nothing but keep giving
These are our friends

I face challenges that I go through alone
I turn inward to bottle up the bad
But when I think of all that my friends do
I use my weakness to create strength for them that I never had

Friends may never know
How much they help us in such discrete ways
But one thing is for sure
Without them, I could not go on another day

Different Kind of Love

Every time you walk by
My heart begins to race
I know that there are many people surrounding me
But what I see is not just another face

I know that we turn our heads
When we catch a glance
On the inside we are saying,
"There may not be another chance."

The calmness and clarity of your being
Is what draws me to you

Our hidden feelings will come through

Heavenly Joy

Up above the clouds
Is where I'd like to be
To push away the gray
So that I'm able to see

If a ray of sunlight
Should shine upon my face
I would use it as a vessel of joy
And let it fall into my embrace

A life of simplicity
With love, a guiding light
I will be able to find peace
And know what is within my sight

Believe in the love we shared
Believe in the light that held us together
The future tells of what we could be
